How to prepare your presentation or poster

Oral Presentations

  • Oral presentations are scheduled for 12 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion time.
  • Please make sure to upload your presentation on the computer at least 15 minutes before the session starts. In each room, there is a student assistant who can help you upload your presentation.

Give me 5 minutes

  • Give me 5 minutes presentations are scheduled for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion time.
  • Please make sure to upload your presentation on the computer at least 15 minutes before the session starts. In each room, there is a student assistant who can help you upload your presentation.

Poster Presentations

  • Posters should not exceed a height of 120 cm and a width of 90cm (A0, portrait).
  • Presenters of posters will be asked to present their main findings in front of their poster (‘Poster Pitch’) in 3 minutes during a specific timeslot.
  • Materials to hang your poster will be provided.

Symposia & Workshops

  • The symposium consists of 4 or 5 presentations and potentially a general introduction and discussion.
  • As a speaker, please contact the chair of the symposium for the exact timing for presentation and discussion
  • The symposium is scheduled for 75 minutes

Demonstrations

  • Demonstrations are scheduled for 20 minutes including questions.
